Ultra-Trail Australia
Ultra-Trail is Australia’s premier trail running event and the 3rd largest event of this type in the world, This 4 day event starting on 16th May 2019 is being held in the Blue Mountains National Park in New South Wales
The event will feature various 50km and 100km races over the course of the event, with a INJINJI 1km-4-Kids race held on 19 May 2019.
This event is highly popular with local and inter-state runners, but as the event has grown in popularity many competitors now travel from overseas to run.
Ultra-Trail Australia (UTA) searched the country for a location that would prove challenging but also to provide beautiful backdrops. And the breathtaking trails of the Blue Mountains National Park seemed to be the outstanding choice.
The event started back in 2008 under the banner The North Face 100, and since then has never looked back. And as well as the 50km and 100km events there is now the UTA22, Scenic World UTA951, UTA11 and Event Expo.

Logistics and Requirements
The event throws up some logistical problems due to its size and location. Most of UTA’s requirements centered around transport logistics and just how to get the competitors to the start line from various pick-up points around Katoomba ( see website for more information https://www.ultratrailaustralia.com.au/uta/event-schedule)
