coachhire.com.au were delighted to be the official sponsors for Miss World Australia 2018. We looked after all the group transportation needs with fun day trip to Warner Bros Movie World where all the contestants experienced a fantastic day out enjoying the rides and attractions, whilst forgetting about any pre-competition nerves. Finally a day’s outing to very strenuous sports challenge with the Gold Coast Titans! We also had the honour of providing transport services for a certain celebrity judge! Eventually all 30 contestants and officials arrived safely at their final destination, the Palazzo Versace Gold Coast to compete for the finals of Miss World Australia 2018.
Director of CoachHire Richard Moore released a statement previously saying, We are extremely happy to support such an event as the Miss World Australia competition, and we wish all the contestants the very best of luck for this year’s competition. I also believe that our driver is really excited about his role in the proceedings!
Leading up to the event we invited all our Social Media followers to vote for their favourite competitor which was an outstanding success with over 20K engagements. We asked our followers to like and comment for their favourite and were blown-away by the volume of responses. There was so much goodwill from friends and family of the contestants proving just how popular the girls are.
The winner of our fun poll was Emily Said. To celebrate the “people’s choice”, Coach Hire donated $500 AUD to Emily’s chosen charity, Variety, The Children’s Charity.
The official winner of Miss World Australia 2018 is the beautiful, Taylah Cannon. She will now go on to the prestigious final of The 68th Miss World Competition being held in the city of Sanya, China on the 8th of December 2018. The 23 year old from the Gold Coast has vowed to become Australia’s first Miss World winner since 1972. The 2nd and 3rd places went to 22 year old Miss Lavinia White from NSW and 24 year old Miss La’ Ace de Vries from Brisbane.
Miss Cannon studied veterinary nursing but went on to be a makeup artist. She also likes to teach in her spare time. Taylah also supports Variety, The Children’s Charity and has so far raised an incredible $13,000 AUD.
We wish Taylah all the very best as she takes on 100 other Miss World contestants for the accolade of Miss World 2018!
